  • Overview

    We have an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Engineer to provide support to the Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps (GCSS-MC), PMW 230, who supports the modernization and sustainment of Marine Corps supply and maintenance functions through the development of a web-based common user interface that provides an integrated and distributed logistics capability enabling leaders to effectively plan, manage, execute, and monitor logistics operations from both a garrison and a forward deployed environment.


    The Senior Systems Engineer will provide direct support to the Chief Engineer of the GCSS-MC PMW230 Program. The Senior Systems Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. This individual will work with the Cloud Engineers, Enterprise and Software Architects, Software Developers, Infrastructure Engineers, and Security Analysts to solve complex information technology matters for large-scale applications.


    The Senior Systems Engineer will provide support for the following:

    • Provide technical management support for the IWRP Disconnected OTA prototype development activities. Tasks include oversight of technical efforts to ensure project objectives are being met in a timely fashion, evaluate proposed designs to ensure technical merit in meeting project requirements, work with Prime(s) in the analysis of the data to validate performance requirements. Represent APM-E interests in the effort.
    • Support the technical management of the Cloud Business Case Analysis (BCA) and Cloud Migration strategy across PdM CDI. Represent APM-E interests in the effort
    • Participate and provide technical knowledge in the Log IT Working Group activities to include participating in development of MBSE based models supporting analysis of mission threads and identification of functional gaps
    • Assist in the revision of current Systems Engineering processes and help to develop policy regarding the implementation of Agile methodology and DevSecOps principles across the PMW 230 portfolio
    • Support implementation of various Systems Engineering initiatives to include the implementation of the Digital Engineering Strategy across the PMW 230 portfolio, the revitalization of Architecture activities, and introduction of MBSE activities within the PMW 230 portfolio
    • Support SETR events across the PMW 230 portfolio of programs
    • Develop and implement a Systems Engineering training program across the portfolio.
    • Engineer will provide strategic recommendations and analyze requirements in the form of white papers, Business Case Analysis (BCA), technology and business roadmaps, authoring and editing Statement of Objectives (SOOs) to the vendor, and by engaging in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) as required by the Program Office


    • Active Secret Clearance


    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
    • 5+ years’ experience providing Senior Systems Engineering expertise in enterprise level environments.
    • Ensure SE processes and disciplines are seamlessly integrated into Program Operations; Perform engineering analysis and assessment of proposed requirements changes, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), design issues, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes
    • Working knowledge and understanding of enterprise systems and services technologies to include large scale systems and OS, software and applications, AD, SAN/WAN technologies, Windows Server environments, Server Virtualization
    • Experience developing executive-level briefs, point papers, and white papers
    • Successfully presents programmatic and required technical information to executive level clients with strong organization and communication skills
