We have an immediate opening for an Cloud Release Train Engineer to provide technical support and guidance to the USMC Cloud engineering team.  This role will benefit from demonstrated experience managing and delivering cloud based services as part of an information technology portfolio, as well as prior experience working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) in leadership and coordination roles.  While possessing technical knowledge will help succeed in this role, the primary responsibility will be to help guide and optimize portfolio activities under agile release and solution trains.

The Cloud Release Train Engineer will:

• Understand the composition and delivery of cloud based services
• Use management, communication, and coaching skills to identify constraints and help guide successful resolution at all levels of the development organization
• Use agile management tools to monitor agile development activities
• Develop, communicate and employ metrics to communicate and optimize agile development performance
• Act as a SAFe release train engineer in all capacities
• Be able to communicate development activities of the technology portfolio for stakeholder audiences
• Participate in centers of excellence to share best practices and drive continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum SECRET clearance
• a minimum of 5 years of experience providing technical engineering and architecture guidance within a large information technology portfolio encompassing both on premise and hybrid cloud based services.
• experience working with technical teams, business owners, stakeholders, and industry partners in a multivendor environment to identify and manage dependencies, prioritize needs, and ensure predictable delivery of solutions.
• Experience as a team member operating within the Scaled Agile framework, with specific experience in SAFe leadership such as product/program management, release train engineering, and SAFe implementation
• Experience in project management practices and methodologies including dependency management, budgeting and risk mitigation.

Other Considerations:

• SAFe certifications are strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Specific experience working within continuous delivery models is a plus
• Familiarity with Department of Defense risk management and acquisition practices will be helpful in this role
• Previous experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, and/or ServiceNow Agile management tools is preferred
• Previous experience in data analysis and visualization for project performance metrics reporting will be helpful
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
